They’ve been friends for years, and now they’re business partners. They’ve always wanted to work together, but never had the chance. And then one day, it just happened.

Q: Tell us about yourself and Just Two Distributors:
Where are you from?
A: We are Ashleigh and Melissa. Both originally from East London and have been friends since school, studied at Damlin together and have both lived in Cape Town for the last 21 years.
Were you in any line of work before you started Just Two Distributors?
A: We were in separate industries before starting Just Two Distributors. Ash was, and still is, in the exhibitions industry and I came from many years as a Real Estate Agent to being a stay-at-home mom for the last 4 years.
If yes, what lead to the change?
A: During COVID, exhibitions completely came to a halt, and it has always been a dream of ours to start a business together, the timing was perfect, the stars aligned, and we found Eco Tan by Sonya Driver.
Q: How long has the Just Two Distributors been around?
A: Just Two Distributors is just over a year old and Eco Tan has been in business for more than 10 years.
Q: Tell us about your product range?
A: Eco Tan and Eco by Sonya Driver is an Australian made and manufactured organic product range, covering a full range of tanning, skin care and body care.
The products are made from the highest quality natural and organic ingredients and offers you and your family a true healthy alternative.
Eco Tan was created after our founders’ younger sister was diagnosed with a melanoma. Still wanting to get a tan without the risk of the sun’s harmful UV rays, they sought the next best thing. Since day 1, Sonya has been committed to creating a healthier, animal friendly and environmentally friendly eco-range.
Eco Tan is a company that is founded on authenticity and transparency.
Q: What separates yours from potential competitors, i.e. what are your unique selling points?
A: We offer a full range of body, skin and tanning products. Our products are biodegradable with ingredients responsibly sourced from Australia and communities around the globe.
Eco Tan stives to positively protect the natural environment and have only a positive impact with products that are not only reef-friendly, but drain-friendly also, with no micro-beads or toxic chemicals flooding into our oceans.
The product range is Certified Organic by the Organic Food Chain under the Australian government. This means that our products are made from 100% natural ingredients and over 70% certified organic ingredients meeting one of the strictest organic governing bodies in the world!
Eco Tan is accredited toxic-free by Safe Cosmetics Australia.
Our tanning, skincare, and body care range is vegan. This award-winning range is distributed in over 25 countries around the world.
Q: What kind of consumer marketing do you do?
A: We do social media and sponsorship marketing and paid marketing through retailers.
