Joburg’s Ground Breaking Organics and Natural Products Expo Set to Empower Local Producers
The organics industry is booming. Over the past two decades organic food and drink sales internationally have increased from less than $15 Billion to almost $90 Billion. Now Africa is set to play catch up with it’s own industry platform.

But it is not on it’s own. Organisers South Africa Trade Promotions (SATP) have tapped into the international market by joining the Organic Trade Fair Alliance, a group of overseas Trade Fair Organisers experienced in the organics field who are able to assist in marketing the African event to their buyer and producer databases.
Developing business opportunities for these SMEs will create job opportunities, build an entrepreneurial environment and foster the development of a credible industry in South Africa.
This vision is shared by many institutions who the organisers are working with to develop joint projects to fulfil these goals. The DTI, WESGRO, The City of Johannesburg and various Chambers of Commerce are developing a series of pavilions within the event that will offer maximum exposure and opportunities for SME exhibitors.
“In conclusion, SATP’s mission is to use the event to promote local business, foster development and create employment,” says Thomson. Contact John Thomson (john.t@satp.co.za) to see how you get a foothold into this $90 billion market.
